In the Detroit Pistons gym, the basketball program is a cornerstone sports activity.
Developing official competition teams depends each year on Detroit PAL’s league-wide planning for recreation centers.
In the fall session 2023, basketball activities will be run by Peace Players Detroit, which is part of a global movement that uses sports for peace and equity. With the support of our local partners such as Nike Community Store, Detroit Pistons and now SAY Detroit Play Center we have the platform to serve and expose our youth to many opportunities and experiences. Through our free program we are using basketball, specifically to develop both leadership and valuable life-skills in our Detroit youth.
