The FREE health fair is geared towards students ages six to 17 and will include:
*eye screenings and tests arranged by Vision to Learn’s Mobile Unit
*healthy eating games & activities and nutritional information presented by Henry Ford Health System, including:
- Line’Em Up: guess which fast food has the most fat/calories
- Sugar Overload: guess how much sugar different pop and drinks contain
- Spin the wheel and dice games for health trivia questions and activities like push-ups
- Samples of “Shrek Juice” (green smoothies!
*Toothbrush kits, immunization, “Sister Friends” initiative information from Detroit Department of Health
*Safety games, bike helmet fittings, and injury prevention information from Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation
*Snacks from the United Dairy Industry of Michigan
*Information on water benefits and the Water Residential Assistance Program from theDetroit Water & Sewerage Department

*Giveaways, demonstrations, and Pistons Academy sign-ups from the Detroit Pistons Academy
