Robotics Practice (FLL)
Join a FLL Challenge team from SAY PLAY to compete in a Michigan Qualifying tournament (and the State Tournament if selected). Guided by two or more adult coaches, FIRST LEGO League teams (up to 10 members, grades 3-5) research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to develop a solution. They also must design, build, and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS®, then compete on a table-top playing field.
Students will learn:
- Teamwork
- Problem solving (Robot game and Research Project)
- Critical thinking
- Building and programming a Lego Mindstorm robot to score points on the competition table.
- Research on a provided topic
- Presentation skills
